The City of Cape Town also operates three main safety units. These are Law Enforcement, Metro Police and Traffic. Sea Point City Improvement District (CID)

The CID [insert hyperlink to CID website] provides a 24/7 service along the main strip in Sea Point – Main and Regent Roads from Glengariff Road to the Sea Point circle at Queens Road. The office is based alongside the Fire Station at the junction of Regent/Kloof Roads.

Private Security Companies

There are a number in our area which provide response services and/or monitoring services to private properties or businesses.  They work closely with SAPS and the other agencies to supplement the needs of residents and assist with safety and security.

NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH

Neighbourhood Watches

Residents can become directly involved in safety matters and crime prevention by joining the neighbourhood watch in their area in addition to attending the crime prevention monthly meetings. Members can join in operations, carry radios, and be linked together through social media.
